My main requirement at present is for local models (from Ireland) for a new website called
irishglamour.com for which I am the principal photographer.
The website features local models posing in the same style as seen in the "lad's mags" such as NUTS, ZOO, FHM etc.
When approaching a potential model for the first time, I allow my work and this website to do the talking for me. If she
likes my work, and is interested in working with me, I simply wait for her to contact me. No hard sell and no pressure.
If you are interested in working with me, please email me as much detail about yourself together with a clear snapshot of yourself.
You MUST be over 18 to appear on the website.
Frequently asked Questions
Q. Do you pay your models? And how much?
A.
Yes, all shoots are fully paid.
Shoots normally last between 2 and 4 hours and payment between £20 and £40 per hour, depending on the models experience and to what level she models too. These rates are negotiable if the likes of Andrea Corr applies!!!
Q. I have never modelled before. Does that matter?
A. Not at all! I am a professional photographer and used to models being a little nervous
on shoots. I will quickly help you relax and enjoy the experience of the shoot.
One of the most enjoyable parts of my job is working with a new model to produce beautiful images that she and I are both proud of and happy to display. Who knows! It could be the start of an exciting new career for you!
Q. What do you do with the images taken?
A.
Each model I work with signs a full model release allowing me to sell the images.
The main client for my images at present is the website
irishglamour.com
Q. Do I get any prints from the shoot?
A.
Not usually. You have to understand that the client is paying me for the photographs on the understanding that it is exclusive content. It is not fair to the client to see the images they have paid for splashed all over the Internet before being published on their website.
Any prints you do receive from the shoot are for personal use only and may not be published ANYWHERE without my written permission.
Q. Do you offer TFP shoots?
A.
Time for Prints (TFP) means the model gets paid with prints from the shoot. This is a standard
practice in the photographic industry and is a tremendous way for
professional and aspiring models needing to keep costs down to build
or expand their portfolio.
I generally don't offer TFP shoots for pretty much the
the same reason as the answer above.
However, I also require models for specific Art Nude projects and would consider TFP if I felt the model could bring something
special to the shoot and that it would benefit both our portfolio's... a classic win - win situation.
Q. Do I have to get topless or naked?
A.
You don't have to do anything you are not comfortable doing. Before the shoot
takes place we will discuss in detail the level you are comfortable with and stick to it. We trust you to know what your limits are and to be able to tell us what they are before any shoot.
I have no interest in pressuring models into doing the types of modelling they are not happy with.
Communication and mutual respect are the keys to any good working relationship.
One thing to bear in mind is that girls who pose topless generally get better paid and offered more work.
Q. Where do the shoots normally take place?
A. Shoots normally take place in my studio here in Glengormely and occasionally
on location as specified by the clients. Almost always your first shoot will be in the studio.
Q. Can I bring someone with me to the shoot?
A. Yes,
please feel free to bring whomever you like along to the shoots.
Your comfort level is very important, as the more comfortable you
feel the better the photos will turn out.
Q. Okay, I want to give it a try, what do I do
next?
A.
If you are interested in modelling for me, please
email me a picture of
yourself (a family snap will do) together with plenty of details about
yourself and the level of modelling you would be comfortable working too.
If I feel you have the look we are after, I will then contact you to arrange a meeting
to discuss setting up a shoot.
